Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, established
April 6, 1927, is a major attraction for tourists visiting
Savannah. The refuge encompasses over 30,000 acres of
freshwater marshes, tidal rivers and creeks, and
bottomland hardwoods. For this unique event OAS
teams, up with the Coastal Georgia Nature Photographers
Association to spot spring migrants, such as warblers,
herons, egrets, and ducks.
The event is open to OAS and CGNPA members only.
Meet at the Refuge Visitor Center
(694 Beech Hill Lane, Hardeeville, SC) at 8:30 am, program
ends at 12 noon. Registration is required, limited to 20
